DAVID MARTINKA

The idea for LEGENDS OF TIME started back in the year 2000. I would go into the store of Dan DeClark and Robert Wainio to shop. So, over the years we have become friends. Dan and Robert always had good stories of the places and people they would met, as they would look for different artists from around the country to showcase the different artists' work in their stores. We also decided to make a statement of what LEGENDS OF TIME means to us, as people.

For myself, when I listen to people tell stories of loved ones that passed away. I would have a sense that the person they were talking about was still there with them. It was like the person was bigger, stronger with each story that was told about them. They were becoming a legend, a LEGEND OF TIME.

LEGENDS OF TIME is the long awaited debut recording from native styled flute player David Martinka.

A journey though time of solo native styled flute songs written and played by David Martinka using flutes made by some of the world's best native flute makers.
